Apples

Our art projects this week include:

Paper plate Apple cores:
I just cut the plates into Apple core shapes and let them paint the top and bottom either res or green.
Then I cut out some seeds from black paper and they glued them on.

Stain window Apples:

I cut an apple shape out of clear contact paper. Then I cut red squares out of red tissue paper and let the kiddos stick the tissue paper on to the sticky side of the contact paper. I left a little border of the white paper on the back so when we are ready to put it on the window it has plenty of stickiness to hold it on.

Apple stamps:

This one is so simple! You cut an apple in half, stick a fork into it, give the kiddos paint on a plate and let them go to town!

Bees theme

This week we did a Bees theme.
For our art projects this week we made:

Honeycomb and bee

This was fun and easy!
I cut a tp tube into rings. I let the kiddos put a bunch of glue on yellow paper and glue the rings to it. Then I made a bee out of a yellow pom pom by using a sharpie to draw the black rings around it, and then gluing a brown smaller pom pom on for the head.

For fine motor and sensory this week we:

Played with playdough.

Strung counting bears and beads

Used chopsticks to pick up and sort pipe cleaners
